"My family and myself have been for many evening meals at The Mary Green and EVERY time the food and service was excellent! I live in Turkey now, but every time im back i always have to have a trip to The Mary Green. Once we come for an afternoon tea, which was also excellent and would definatley do it again too. We are never rushed so can enjoy the evening even more, chefs compliment appetisiers are a real treat too."

"We went back to Mary Green Manor to celebrate our wedding anniversary after getting married there two years ago. It was a quiet night as it was mid week and before Easter.

The waiter was attentive and friendly, and offered us advice on the wine as we aren't wine-ies.

He also said we wouldn't need the side dishes of potatoes we ordered. We said we were hungry (and thought the portions would be small as it is posh food) but he was right! Really, you don't need them.

The food quality was outstanding and well presented. We had the three course a la carte which also came with a pre starter of ham and salmon with onion soup, and a pre desert of sorbet and caramel.

A fantastic evening, and one we would repeat."

"We have dined at the Mary Green Manor several times and appreciate the environment and sitting at a round table which makes for easy conversation. The table service was excellent but the ambience was spoilt by the volume and type of music coming over the speakers; why is it considered necessary by the management to inflict this on diners? Meals at Mary Green Manor are not cheap and excellent service is no substitute for good and plentiful food. I resent the routine addition of a service charge; that should be at the discretion of the customer, not the right of the management. When I give a tip it is always in cash for the quality of service and I expect it to go to the staff. The standard needs to improve if I'm to return."

"At 45 pounds per head (for 3 courses) we had high expectations and Mary Green Manor didnt dissapoint. Well done to Majid and the team for a great night out.My only slight criticism would be that the waiter took away the empty beer and wine glass without asking if we would like another."

"Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and stay here. Only slight complaint was that it was very hot in the restaurant and I did mention afterwards that I thought one scallop sliced into 3 pieces was a bit mean for the starter. Portion side for other courses was fine."
