"Price wise you cannot really complain but the restaurant is not as nice as the other Cafe Sports England in Liverpool. It is more like a bar than a restaurant and the tables are packed in quite tightly as it is small.

The food is alright but the burger for example tastes just like a burger in a value chain pub would. Some of the pasta dishes are quite nice and there is plenty more on the menu such as steak, pizzas and good old Scouse Pie.

All round it is hamdy if you want to get in and out and have a quick meal while watching a spot of sport or sky sports news but other than that I would stick to dropping in for a drink."

"Considering it's a sports bar, the football kept going off so they streamed a Portugese channel for picture and English channel for sound.... meaning that there was a 30sec delay! My pizza was good but my partner didn't like his curry - said it was watery?! Service was excellent though, table service was provided and we never had to ask to order drinks, they were straight over when they noticed we were running low and kept on top of the glass collection."

"It was cold !! it was a cold night and the heating could have done with turning up,the waiter was lovely but had BO! so that could do with addressing.Food nice, service adequate."

"The food was cold - it was pizza and had to be re-heated. By the end of the night you had run out of many of the sweet options. In fact we left you and went somewhere else for desert.
The staff where amazing but they where very very short staffed and it was unfair on them as they knew that the service they where giving was not fantastic. I gave a 5 star for staff because even thought you where grossly under staffed the lady who looked after us was excellent."

"As a Liverpool fan, Cafe Sports Express is normally one of my and my families favourite places to eat particularily on match days.
The food is normally very good but for roughly the same money, Cafe Sports England in Stanley Street is a much better dining experience and the food particularily the steaks are much better."

"I booked a table for 11 with less than 24 hours notice so I wasn't too sure whether it was going to be a hit or a miss but as it turned out I had nothing to worry about. The food was lovely and incredible value for money for the city centre. The final bill for 10 of us (one of our original party went shopping instead (!)) was £70 which included 2 courses and drinks for 6 kids and lunch and drinks for 4 adults including a double vodka and lemonade. Food was piping hot and there was plenty of it. Definately recommend to anyone wanting a nice lunch in Liverpool."

"I am a concierge at the Holiday Inn Liverpool City Centre. I booked a table for 2 guests that stayed at the hotel and they were really really happy with the food and services they recieved at the restaurant. One of them where not so happy about the noise but this is expected here so nothing bad about that. Guest would return when next in Liverpool and definetly recommended"
