With a separate entrance and private bar, our Upstairs room offers a genuinely private dining experience. Country colours and understated furnishings make the most of the room’s original features; it was once the gardener’s cottage. The room seats 35. Across the courtyard, away from the main restaurant, our Downstairs room is a handsome space with natural light, a splendid fireplace and a stone-flagged floor. Up to 20 people can be seated. For smaller groups, we’ve turned the original larders into two cosy, barrel-vaulted dining rooms, each seats up to 10. Tucked away off the hallway, and with white-washed walls and high windows, they have an intimate and relaxed atmosphere, like dining at home but without the effort. For a bigger splash, you can take over the whole restaurant, including the central courtyard. We can take up to 60 people for a sit-down meal or up to 120 for a drinks and canapé party. All the rooms can also be used for business meetings or small seminars.
- The Restaurant Writes...
-
With it's light, uncluttered, rustic-chic style, the restaurant has a refreshing simplicity but a serious intent. It's about eating classically executed bistro style dishes in comfortable and relaxed surroundings.
